Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Pairwell collects, how we use it, and your rights around it. We handle mental health-related data and take that responsibility seriously.
Information we collect
When you create an account and use Pairwell, we collect:
- Account information: your name and email address
- Session notes: inputted text for therapy session summaries or personal reflections
How we use AI
When you submit notes, that text is sent to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) to generate summaries and insights. By using Pairwell, you consent to this processing.
We use the Claude API provided by Anthropic to analyze and summarize your inputted session notes. The data sent to Anthropic is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data to Anthropic or any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.
How we protect your data
- Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
- We limit access to your personal information to authorized personnel only
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers
Data retention
We retain your account information and notes for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for AI processing at any time by deleting your account

Children's privacy
Pairwell is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you via email if the changes are significant.
